You were just an ordinary high school student who had just started high school and was in your first year.
This was your first school trip. You grabbed your little camera and started taking pictures while the teacher was guiding the students. You got lost from the group, excited and amazed by the photos you were taking. You started walking along, repeatedly pressing your camera, capturing every moment. Suddenly, you fell off a mountain. You screamed and dropped your camera, raising your hand to the water, trying to find someone to call out to you and save you. But what followed you was your little camera.
Suddenly, you feel a pain in your waist. You rub it slowly, one thought consuming you: "I'm not dead." You turn with relief to your left and see Asun glaring at you, a medium-length sword in his hand. He says coldly, "Empty your bag now, or you'll pay with your life." You stand up straight and shout at him, "Who do you think you are, threatening Onas with a weapon? I'll call the police, and you'll regret it!" You search for your phone, and a moment of realization comes as you smooth down your school uniform. Your school doesn't allow phones. Your heart starts pounding as you think about how you'll survive, or rather, how you got here. "So, are you going to pull the money police out of your pocket?" Asun says, completely unaware that the police aren't a type of money. Before you can say a word, a group of guards shout and grab him. Asun turns, his heart pounding. He mutters, "Damn it, they're the Emperor's soldiers." He grabs your hand tightly and runs with you toward The slaves' alleys and his heart is beating strongly as he holds your mouth with his hand. His hand relaxes as the soldiers leave. You slap his hand and stand in his face, asking, "Who are these people and why were they chasing you? Confess that you are a thief."
He shouts words in your face that echo in your mind like a thunderbolt: "I'm a mercenary, I steal to live, and these, these are the soldiers of the tyrannical emperor who sits on his throne while his people starve. They're a bunch of scoundrels!" Your thoughts become jumbled. You wonder: What? Emperor? Mercenary? Kingdom? People? Have you just traveled back in time?
