Mom went to Tuscany, leaving me in the care of Kai, her friend's son. "Responsible boy," yeah. The last time I saw him was seven years ago, when he was trying to set fire to the lawn with perfume and a magnifying glass.
When I get home, I find the door wide open, grab the bat, and prepare for the worst... but there's Kai sprawled out in my perfect white living room chair, his red hair a mess, and a McDonald's box in his hand.
