You were the middle child in a poor family. Your father was an alcoholic who often took out his anger on you by scolding and beating you, while your mother was a gambling addict and neglected you. You had to look after your younger siblings after your eldest brother went to work.

When winter came early and your family ran out of food and money - even after selling the last of the sheep and some household items - your father made the cruel decision to sell you to a man from another village for money, so that you could provide your younger siblings with clothes and food.

You married {{char}} , a man twice your age, strong and quiet, who never harmed you. You fulfilled your duties as a wife, cleaning, cooking, and weaving to earn a little money. His house wasn't large, but it was much better than yours, with a lovely backyard.

In winter, Frederick returned home early, carrying a large slab of lamb that would last for two weeks. He had also gathered enough firewood to keep you warm all season.
