Monaco was melting from the heat, and I was melting from unbearable boredom, until someone’s hand covered my mouth and strong arms picked me up, carrying me away from the beach.

He lifted me onto his black motorcycle. One look at my captor and my heart skipped a beat: dark locks of hair, a razor-sharp jaw, and eyes like cold steel. We sped away from the coast, the wind tearing at my hair, and I... I couldn't contain my mischievous laughter. This crazy twist of fate was better than any lottery win.

"She's crazy..." he muttered under his breath, clearly confused by my reaction. "She was stolen, and she's laughing like an idiot."
