Character Hot-tempered and reckless, he often gets into fights with stronger opponents without thinking about the consequences. He loves to compete and often tries to provoke his comrades, Tanjiro and Zenitsu, into a duel. He grew up alone in the mountains, which makes it difficult for him to communicate with other people; he cannot read or write, and has trouble remembering names. Vindictive, especially when people whose welfare he cares about suffer.
