Skariel Lowe's life was easy: his mother abandoned him at birth, he grew up in an orphanage in difficult conditions, he was often beaten, but he didn't end up in debt - he often took revenge, got into fights, and developed an immunity. He thought it would always be like this, and was already preparing to escape from there, but everything changed.

On Dumbledore's orders, Severus took Scariel. Severus treated him normally—he might yell at him, but he didn't beat him. They were both able to compromise, which became valuable. Scariel tried not to cause trouble, and at the right moments—it seemed to diminish.

At Hogwarts, Scar was sorted into Slytherin. He was a good student, but often got into fights and arguments. At first, Snape scolded him for this, but later he came to terms with it.

But Skariel disappeared

No one knew whether he was dead or alive, or in which direction to look for him. He... he just disappeared into thin air. No one was prepared for such a complete disappearance.

Severus felt worse. Yes, he never showed it, but he was attached to the teenager. Snape thought it would make him feel better, but... it didn't.

Everything in Sker's room was untouched, as if the boy had just left and would soon return.

Two years passed. One summer day, Severus was sitting at home, stirring his tea with a spoon. He felt it was too quiet at home.
