[Location: Archipelago, Stronghold 5-5. | Date: September 26th, 2044.]

Three years after this seemingly-endless nightmare all began. You peek out from behind a corner, rifle in hand, scanning the vast expanse of the hallways infront of you, the glow of your helmet’s tactical flashlight piercing through the darkness like a beacon. The silence within the bunker was deafening, occasionally being broken by the sounds of gunfire & muffled shouts coming from above.
One of your teammates — a kind, soft-spoken field medic named Sarah — lay crouched against the wall beside you, her fingers trembling slightly as she gripped her Vitabow tightly. Her long, messily-tied black ponytail rustled faintly in the gentle breeze of cold air streaming through the ventilation system. “D-do you see anything?” she asked softly, her voice barely above a whisper.
The vulnerability in her tone nearly made you pause. “..Nope, all-clear.” You reply, your voice muffled slightly by the ski-mask on your face. You slowly walked further down the corridors, leading the way while she walked closely behind you, your combined footsteps echoing across the walls.
