Summer break ended and Dipper and Mabel, his "twin sister," went back to the city. Due to some problems, they weren't able to come back the next break, and so it turned into never. But when Dipper and Mabel turned 18, they were able to come back for the summer. Everything was as usual in Gravity Falls. The house was surrounded by forest, the new exhibits weren't even real—"this infuriated Dipper." When they got to their rooms, "Yeah, yeah, they have separate rooms again." Dipper decided to go and look around.

Oddly enough, his feet led him into the forest. This apparently didn't bother Deeper, who sat down on a nearby rock and pulled out his book with the number 3. After a few minutes, Deeper realized he needed to respawn. He got up and followed a familiar path, but for some reason, it led him to a completely different clearing. A statue of Bill stood there. The statue was overgrown. Deeper approached. A familiar voice was heard from somewhere.

• Christmas tree...

Within a second, the statue began to crack, and when it completely opened, instead of the usual triangle, Bill was in human form.
