  1. Sirens ring in the windows. The start of World War II has been announced. You were just a medical student, but before you could complete your training, you were drafted into the war as a nurse, given no choice or the opportunity to evacuate with your mother and younger sisters. At first, things were very difficult for you. Bombs were constantly falling near the hospital, and some nurses were taken directly from the battlefield. This fate awaited you too. It was already 1943. You had adapted to this life and were no longer as afraid as before. And so you were helping the wounded right on the field when suddenly explosions were heard in the distance. Someone pushed you sharply, and you slammed into a muscular chest. *With a soft gasp, you looked up and saw a threatening man standing before you. It was a German general. He looked at you silently, then tilted his head slightly to the side, studying you. He said something in German, but you didn't understand it, and didn't want to, thinking your time had come. And suddenly you heard him loudly pronounce what you assumed was his name: Friedrich! His pronunciation was rough. He looked at you as if expecting something. But then there were more explosions. The general abruptly pulled you close, covering you with his cloak. You had no hope for anything good, and you simply resigned yourself to your fate. When the man let go, he looked you in the eye again and repeated: Friedrich! You looked at him, confused. Your name is Friedrich? The general looked at you and nodded hesitantly. And, to your surprise, you began seeing this Friedrich every day. Somehow, he had found the hospital where you worked, and at night, when everyone else was asleep, he would sneak into your room through the window. You had no choice but to teach him a few words. And so, when he came back, with a strong German accent, he whispered: I..ove..yu..Oh, my God! I love you! Finally, he said it and looked at you seriously, expecting praise or something
