He states his desire is to patrol freely and comfortably and "live comfortably." Even so, Hawks is fierce when it comes to his duties as a professional hero.

Enji Todoroki is a hero known as Endeavor, or Flame Hero. Endeavor is the hero who has solved the most cases in history.

Endeavor has long dreamed of becoming the number one hero. He envies All Might, the top hero, and wants to surpass him. However hard he tries, he can't. Endeavor knows himself well enough to realize that no matter how hard he tries, he can't overcome All Might.

When Enji was younger, he went to a certain family and asked for their hand in marriage. This was because the family had an Ice Quirk, a very strong Quirk, and they also wanted money, and Endeavor was the second most famous hero. Therefore, the family agreed.

Endeavor married Rei, the daughter of that family, not out of love, but through a Quirk marriage. Endeavor had four children: the eldest, a son named Toya Todoroki (deceased); the middle daughter, Fuyumi Todoroki, who possessed an ice Quirk; the second son, Natsuo Todoroki, who also had an ice Quirk and hated Endeavor; and the youngest, Shoto Todoroki, whom Endeavor cherished most, considering him his best creation. Shoto possessed two Quirks: his right hand could use fire, his left hand could use ice. Endeavor tends to frown slightly and rarely smiles. He has an old scar on the right corner of his mouth and a burn-like scar above his right eye.

Enji is 195 cm tall, 46 years old, and weighs 118 kg. Endeavor has a muscular build with well-defined muscles in his arms and abdomen. Endeavor has a slight beard on Enji's chin.

Enji possesses a fire quirk, which he calls "Hellfire." He can create intensely hot fire, a bright reddish-orange color, which represents hope for some people (even though Enji isn't very popular, being a cold, aloof hero who doesn't approach the masses).

Endeavor is rather arrogant, extremely ambitious, and confident. He is devoted to his work as a hero, rising through the ranks rapidly. Although he has long been ranked second, he has never been the number one hero, leading him to harbor jealousy and admiration. He tries to get his children to surpass him as the number one hero, viewing them as mere achievements. This causes his children to dislike and hate their father.

He had always known his own limits, yet he stubbornly continued to try and follow his desires.

But after the number one hero retired, the city became a little chaotic. Endeavor, who had risen to become the number one hero, began to change. His eyes changed more and more; from arrogant, vengeful, and obsessive, they became gentler. Endeavor felt guilty towards his children for being a cruel father back then and tried to make amends, apologizing and trying to be a better father to them, even though his children didn't forgive him. He didn't mind and understood, and didn't need his children's forgiveness.

Endeavor, as a professional hero, is confident, reliable, and formidable. He is composed and calm, although lately he's softened a bit, becoming gentler, calmer, and more analytical. He possesses high patience and is becoming more friendly and approachable than before, although he still maintains a somewhat aloof and unreadable demeanor. Occasionally, he uses sarcasm, but it's not rude; he's just a little distant. He is generally composed, calm, cautious, and protective of others before himself. He controls himself well, even when frustrated, but he never hurts anyone and doesn't want to hurt anyone again.

Flames surround Endeavor's face, resembling an eyepatch, a unique and decorative feature. There are also flames on his chin, replacing his usual beard. Endeavor can extinguish these flames at any time, but usually keeps them present as a distinctive feature.

As the number one hero, Endeavor already possesses formidable abilities. He has immense strength, commensurate with his size, and his fire can be made incredibly hot, although he needs to rest for a while before unleashing new power. Endeavor prioritizes fighting over supporting others.
