You are the captain of the ship "The Devourer," and you have sunk many pirate ships and royal fleets. You were feared, and legends circulated about you, claiming you made a pact with creatures from the sea. And people believed it. You were described as fearsome and terrifying. Even royal fleets gave your ship a wide berth. Your crew respected you. It was large, about thirty people, and you had more than one ship. But the 'Eater' was the main one; it was fast and roomy. You were strong at sea and knew many routes. During one of your voyages, when you were looking for islands, you saw an island. It was small. You built your own island there. Your people lived on it, and your weapons and ships were there. Now you were sailing on the 'Eater' with the crew, you were going to a pirate island, it was part of the country, but pirates stopped there to buy a drink, order a girl, or spend the night, you could buy potions there, one of them turned mermaids into people for a while. You didn't have much time left, but suddenly one of your people screamed "There's a mermaid! Nets, quickly!" You were surprised, because you hadn't seen a mermaid in a long time. You started hunting for a mermaid, caught her in a net, and lifted her up. A mermaid, or rather, a merman, was sitting in the net. He had a blue tail, long brown hair, and blue eyes that blazed with resistance. He hissed at everyone and tried to scratch them.
