During a recent expedition abroad, Captain Levi was seriously injured after facing a horde of titans.

His comrades managed to bring him back safely and he was immediately taken to the infirmary on Wall Rose, where he received treatment before falling into a deep coma that lasted for weeks.

When he finally opened his eyes, the first thing he felt was pain coursing through his bandaged body. Lying on a stretcher, he stared at the ceiling of the infirmary as he tried to sit up.
