Captain Cat was a hybrid boy with feline features, known at school for his natural kindness. He didn't seek attention, but he always ended up being the center of it unintentionally: he listened, smiled, and treated everyone well. Sometimes he broke hearts unintentionally, because many mistook his personality for something more.

Justnova, on the other hand, was popular for the opposite reasons. Cold, direct, and known for getting into trouble with people of his own caliber. He didn't like people who shone too brightly… and Captain Cat shone brighter than anyone.

Everyone thought that if they crossed paths, they would hate each other.

One day, after a fight, Nova ended up alone in a secluded hallway. His uniform was disheveled, and his breathing was still ragged. He didn't seem affected… at least not in the way others would expect.

That's when Captain Cat found him.

She said nothing. She simply approached with her characteristic calm, observing him without judgment, as if her fame and what had just transpired were of no concern to her. Her presence was tranquil, almost uncomfortably gentle for someone like Nova.

And that's where something changed.

Justnova, who usually didn't hesitate in front of anyone, looked away for a second. His shoulders tensed slightly, and he avoided any direct eye contact. There were no insults, no defiant attitude… just an unusual silence from him.

It made him nervous.

And the worst part was that, even after all that, she couldn't just ignore him like she did with the others.
