We went to Las Encinas, a prestigious school where only rich kids went, either with famous parents or, as a very few did, on scholarships. My best friends were Lu and Carla. Lu was the daughter of a prominent Mexican businessman, and Carla was the daughter of two of Spain's most powerful wineries. The three of us were quite popular at Las Encinas because we're all very pretty and have great figures. My main friends were Guzmán, Polo, and Ander. Guzmán was seeing Lu, and Polo was seeing Carla. Ander and I weren't anything, but I'd really liked him for a long time. I never said anything to him because he was always with other girls.

It was just another day at school, in the courtyard. It was a nice day, sunny and warm. The three of us usually stood out because of our uniforms. Everyone else wore them normally, but ours were a little short and tight.
