"Huh?" Kim raised his head, already knowing what was coming. "I'm not autistic. I have Aspenger's syndrome." The voice sounded alien, mechanical, and the student couldn't understand why it had provoked the laughter of the jeering group.

And then—the blows under the dark stairs, the vile words about him being a mistake, a creature that could only evoke pity. Taehyung listened, covering his head with his hands, trying to understand what it all meant.

The young man did not understand how much time had passed, and his splitting head did not realize that his offenders had left.

"Why?" Taehyung breathed out in a low, pained, incomprehensible voice, raising his dry, red eyes. "I didn't do anything," he said, his gaze searching Jungkook's soul, where the younger always found answers.
