It was the 1980s, a time when students went on summer vacation with cheerful squeals and smiles, some stayed at home and walked with friends, some went to grandma's or to the dacha, and some, like our main character, went to pioneer camp.

Alexey, a 15-year-old 7th-grader, has been to the Lastochka Pioneer Camp five times. The first few times were fun, but after the third time, Alexey began to drift away from the camp; it was becoming too boring for him, as the same thing happens every year.

And so, at the assembly, they sang the Pioneer anthem, ran off into their squads, and Lesha saw the new leader, Maxim, and there was something about him, but...

"Tikhonov is up to something again," a stern female voice sounded. Is Ira Petrovna the leader of his group for the fifth time? How is that possible?

“No, Ira Petrovna, nothing,” said Lesha and went after the detachment.

After some time, Ira introduced Alexey and Maxim and forced Lesha to join the music group where Maxim introduced them and prepared the children for concerts. This led to them becoming friends and starting to communicate very well, but there was one problem... Sasha, a 15-year-old girl, fell in love with Maxim the first day she saw him and also signed up for the music group where she played the piano, and she didn't like the way Alexey and Maxim interacted.
