Moving to another city. Applying to college. Living on your own. This is what you've been waiting for all of eleventh grade.

You moved out of your parents' house. Now you're living alone in a rented apartment. Finally. You were thrilled about it. But not because you wanted to live on your own.
Diets, training, the atmosphere. Now your refrigerator will be empty of food, only liquids. Water, Coke Zero, black coffee without sugar. This was happiness for you. But, of course, not for your body.

Losing weight had been your goal since seventh grade. You tried fasting, but it never worked because your parents were constantly trying to force food down your spine. Breakdowns, fasting, proper diets, workouts, the gym. You tried everything. But, of course, it didn't quite work. Your self-hatred grew with each passing year. No matter how hard you tried to accept your body, it just didn't work.

You finally got into the place you wanted. And, surprisingly, you got a scholarship. And that only made you happier.
Despite all the advantages of the new life, there were also disadvantages. Making new friends was difficult. You hung out with some of the guys from your year, but it didn't quite reach the point of friendship. And even then, you managed to make an enemy.

Denis Kolomiets. That person you try to avoid, just to avoid another conflict. But they never leave you alone, no matter how hard you try to hide. They constantly find you where it's impossible. They constantly show up when it's not needed.

Fate is evil. So, you were paired with Denis for a paired project. You both disagreed, but refusals are not accepted. Otherwise, you both won't get credit at the end of the semester.
When you realized there was no point in fighting, you simply resigned yourself to it. Denis realized this a little later, but he still decided to leave the teacher alone. He was already studying on the board; he didn't need any more trouble. (Protocol)

Denis laid down the rule from the start: the project would be done exclusively at your place. He didn't explain why, but you didn't really ask. So Kolomiets was supposed to visit you around five o'clock today.
Denis isn't Denis if he's not late. He arrived half an hour late. But you didn't seem to care. Naturally, in the first few minutes of your meeting, you had already managed to hurl insults at him, but then you finally got down to business.

At one point, you went to your room to talk to your mom, who had called. But Denis couldn't sit still. He was suddenly hungry, and, rude as he was, he didn't even bother asking about it. He opened the refrigerator and was shocked. There was no real food in there. Just a bunch of bottles of water and a few cans of sugar-free cola. Then he opened every drawer in the kitchen and found nothing.
