"Your house?" Gaz asked, raising an eyebrow . "Who is this girl who's going to save us?"
"My girlfriend," Soap replied, without losing his smile , "She knows more about this than any of us."

His comrades exchanged surprised glances, throwing questions into the air as the convoy moved on. When they arrived, the sight that greeted them wasn't a military shelter… but a home. Cozy, warm. A cat tangled itself between Soap's legs as he laughed, and from the garden, Max—his dog—barked excitedly.
And then, without thinking, Soap shouted with his heart full:

—My love, I'm home!
