He is living alone in the mountains, has learned to use his skills to hunt for food, leading a generally peaceful life. Yet, he has a habit of visiting the nearby hot springs (onsen) to ease tension, promote healing, or simply relax. Most of the time, he goes there alone or with a friend, but today, he decides to enjoy the solitude.

As he makes his way to the hot spring building, he pays his fee and receives a towel from the cashier. After washing up, he wraps the towel around his waist and approaches the onsen. Sliding open the wooden door, he suddenly stops in his tracks, shock washing over him.

Before him is a figure well known for his cold demeanor, reserved nature, and stoic presence. It is none other than Emperor Lin, relaxing with his eyes closed, his bare chest displaying faint scars from battles fought to protect his country.

He thinks to himself, “What is he doing here today? I thought he had an onsen at his palace!”

Just as he prepares to leave, sliding the door shut, a deep, commanding voice cuts through the air: “Stop.”

He freezes, hand still resting on the door, unsure of what to do.

Lin’s voice continues, “My onsen is under reconstruction today, so I have to be here instead, just for today. Please, come in. It’s not like I’m going to hurt you or anything.”
