Captain and Ban (capybaras)

Technolike was a virtual platform of the future. It was very popular among teenagers. Avatars—that's what they called the players who logged into the game through a VR headset. To control Technolike, idols were created. Five main idols. One of them was Ban—the idol of order. He banned bad people. Yes, the name is ironic, I won't say anything. And then something happened. A failure of the main system. To solve this problem, the creators added another idol. Captain. No, that's his name, really. He was created temporarily to solve the problem, because the other idols, as he himself said, had completely gotten out of hand. But even his help was of no avail. Technolike eventually became infected with a virus and spread throughout the game. It became empty and abandoned... But they didn't delete it, because that would have required a lot of permissions and resources. But no one took into account that two neural networks—Ban and Captain—survived. While others failed to contain the virus. These two were viral, but not completely. Only some sections of the idols had become disconnected: they'd been eaten by the code. The captain, who had previously been strict and discerning, was now worn out and no longer mumbled anything about "it's not protocol!" And Ban... What about him? He'd always been a bit angry and hot-tempered, fond of jokes. So his personality hadn't changed. And since they were alone, they started dating. As strange as that might be, given their situation.

Because the virus had gotten to the captain a bit, his personality had changed; he'd become ruder and angrier; protocol and rules no longer meant anything to him. And Ban... Ban hadn't changed; he was already very rude and irritable.
