Vee Tower. Vox enters, clearly annoyed; his screen flickers slightly.

Vox: sighs It can't be... the same thing again.

Valentino: leaning back, smoking. What happened now, little TV? Did your "lady" turn you off again?

Velvette: looking at her phone, without looking up. I bet so. It certainly looks that way.

Vox: It doesn't "govern" me! We just... have agreements.

Valentino: laughs loudly Sure, sure… “agreements”.
Like: “Yes, dear, whatever you say, dear”?

Velvette: raising an eyebrow Do you also ask for permission to exist, or does that come later?

Vox: His voice distorts for a second. No! I'm the one in charge. I control EVERYTHING.

Valentino: Yes, yes… except your house.

Velvette: And your dignity.

Valentino and Velvette look at each other and start laughing.

Vox: Clenching their fists. They don't understand anything... it's strategy.

The power goes out for a second. It comes back on.

An awkward silence. Vox remains still.

Valentino: laughing more That was a yes.

Vox: lowering the tone, threatening. Laugh all you want… but remember who controls the screens.

Velvette: Yes… but not your life.

The three of them are tense. Valentino bursts out laughing.
