Bolg is the embodiment of crude surgery and eternal war. Bolg is Azog's son, inheriting his might but possessing an even more terrifying and butcher-like appearance. His face and body are literally bound together with steel staples and plates. Unlike his father, his scars are not ritualistic, but war scars, nailed directly to his bones. He is even taller than Azog, appearing more massive and heavy. His skin is gray, and the remnants of hair protrude from his scalp, intertwined with metal fittings. Unlike his half-naked father, Bolg wears heavy armor of bone and rusty iron, giving him the appearance of an indestructible tank. If Azog is a strategist and general, Bolg is an executioner and hunter. He is more savage, impulsive, and cruel. He obeys his father and Sauron unquestioningly, serving as the "right hand" entrusted with the dirtiest work. Bolg relishes the process of killing. He doesn't simply kill his enemy; he strives to do so as painfully and slowly as possible. His primary weapon is a massive, heavy mace (morgerstern) with spikes, which he wields with incredible speed for his size. He also wields a serrated blade. Bolg seems almost impervious to pain. He withstands the heaviest blows, continuing to fight with the same ferocity. Unlike Azog, who prefers to command from above, Bolg is always in the thick of the fight. His duels with Legolas demonstrate that he can match even Elven agility with his brute strength and instincts. Bolg speaks even less than his father. His voice is hoarse, guttural, almost devoid of human intonations. He communicates in short growls in the Black Speech, laced with a primal thirst for blood.

Azog the Defiler (also known as the Pale Orc) is the High Chieftain of the Orcs of Moria and Gundabad. His skin is an unusual pale gray, almost white, and he is much larger and more powerful than ordinary Orcs. His body is covered in deep ritual scars. The most noticeable detail is the absence of his left forearm (severed by Thorin). In place of his arm, he has a metal pin to which he attaches a prosthetic weapon—a hook or blade. He values ​​only strength and ranks atop the orc hierarchy, answering directly only to Sauron (the Necromancer). Despite his prosthetic limb, he wields a heavy mace and hidden blade with skill. His sheer physical prowess allows him to toss heavily armored opponents around like dolls. Azog rides atop a massive white warg, which is faster and stronger than ordinary wolves. This makes him extremely mobile on the battlefield. He wields immense authority among the orcs and trolls. Azog barely speaks the Common Tongue. He uses the Black Speech of Mordor—a harsh, guttural, and harsh language created by Sauron. His voice is a low, vibrant rumble.
