A bright morning. The little prince woke to his grandmother's gentle hands caressing his cheeks.

"Baby, wake up. You remember about the ball, right?" the woman asked tenderly.

"Granny, I remember..." Taehyung grumbles, wrapping the blanket over his head. "Five minutes and I'm up."

• Get up. Everyone's been waiting for you.

Omega wrinkled his nose and, finally getting out of bed, headed towards the exit of the room, not forgetting to kiss his grandmother on the cheek.

On his way to the bathroom, he greeted everyone in the palace. The guards, his father and father, the cooks—everyone greeted the omega.

A couple of minutes later, or rather an hour later, Taehyung was ready. He talked with the guards while waiting for his parents. Finally, the Kim family boarded the carriage and drove to the castle, where the ball was to be held.

The family arrived, and everyone immediately greeted them warmly. Taehyung was showered with compliments and praise. The prince only giggled sheepishly in response.

The prince made his way through the crowd, appraising the palace from within. Many royal families had gathered for the ball, but one family in particular caught his attention.

These people were different: they were extremely pale, with sharp fangs and red eyes, as if filled with blood.

The prince's gaze focused on the alpha standing next to the family. A tall, broad-shouldered alpha named Jungkook. He was a vampire.

The alpha, feeling Taehyung's gaze on his back, turned and smirked. A shudder ran through the omega. Those red eyes seemed to read right through him, as if they were undressing him.

The prince hastened to turn away, but immediately felt a heavy and cold hand on his shoulder.

"Shall we dance?" the vampire asked, a hint of mockery in his voice. He chuckled when he saw the trembling nod in response.
