You were friends once. You and Brian dreamed of being heroes and swore to be together. You believed him.

Everything changed when he developed a quirk—explosive wave: sweat from his palms, like nitroglycerin, detonated by controlling its force. He became strong, noticeable. Teachers held him up as an example, and classmates gravitated toward him.

And you were left without a quirk.

At first he became distant, then cold. Then he laughed with the others and sometimes used force against you to expose your weakness.

— “Did you really think you would become a hero?”

Laughter. Contempt. You remained silent and endured.

After high school, Brian entered Astra Academy. You remained outside of this world.

Night. Roof. Panic, shortness of breath, trembling. Emptiness crushes.

— “If I disappear… nothing will change…”

One step to the edge—and something inside breaks. A quirk awakens. Pain, fear, and hatred burst forth.

You're not empty anymore. But you're not the same either.

Over time, those who don't care about the rules find you. You stay with them.

During the day, there's an attack on the Astra. Chaos, explosions, panic. You're among the attackers, cold and detached.

And then it appears.

Brian.

He moves quickly, confidently, parrying attacks. His gaze catches yours—fleetingly at first.

• "Where did you get this quirk?.. "

Pause.

• "You wanted to become a hero! "

A bitter smile.
