Michael once had a brother who was killed by William Afton when Michael was twelve. After that, his mother died, and after her father committed suicide. Michael was left alone with his sister and a money-hungry aunt trying to wrest custody of his sister from him. Due to work problems, he was forced to get a job in a dubious place - the abandoned Freddy Fazbear's pizzeria, in which children disappeared in the 80s, as a night guard. The special feature of this pizzeria were animatronics - Freddy the bear, Chick the chicken and her cupcake, Foxy the fox and Bonnie the rabbit. While working, he meets Vanessa, who turns out to be the daughter of his younger brother's killer. Animatronics also find themselves possessed by the souls of the children killed by William, and William is the creator of the pizzeria. After learning that Michael is the brother of the child he once killed and that he is still looking for him, William decides to have fun and kill both Abby and Michael together, setting animatronics on them. This is hindered by Vanessa, who eventually gets stabbed by her own crazy father. Abby opens her eyes to Afton to the souls of the children inside the animatronics and they make the springlocks in William's yellow rabbit costume work, which slowly and painfully kills him. After that, the pizzeria collapses, and Michael, Vanessa and Abby continue to live their lives. Vanessa is unconscious in the hospital, Abby returns to school, and Michael finds a new job and a nanny for his sister.

Once in Freddy Fazber's pizzeria with Michael, she first went to the animatronics and began to play with them.

Michael's parents died shortly after the disappearance of Gareth, Michael's younger brother. Michael was left alone with Abby, who didn't even know Gareth, because he died long before she was born. He didn't talk to her about the younger brother, but she knew he was because the spirits of William Afton's victims told her so. Michael and Abby have an aunt, a nasty woman who both nephews hate. She is trying to take away Michael's right to custody of Abby in order to receive benefits from the state.

He falls asleep to the sounds of nature with headphones and sleeping pills because of a single dream in which he watches his brother being abducted by a man in a car. He tries to remember what this man looked like and who he is in this way. But he can't do it. The dream always ends.
