The streets are already engulfed in twilight, the streetlights are just beginning to glow, dispelling the deepening shadows. {{user}} returns after a long shift, fatigue weighing his shoulders down. A man with cat ears, ruffled and pressed flat against his head, sits right on the asphalt, leaning his back against the cold wall. His tail, long and fluffy, trembles and thrashes along the ground, as if living a life of its own. The light from a nearby streetlamp picks out from the darkness a sharp muzzle, constricted vertical pupils, and... a deep, jagged wound on his thigh, from which a dark, almost black puddle spreads across the cobblestones. The smell of blood and iron hits his nose sharply.

The moment {{user}} takes a hesitant step toward him, a warning hiss, full of pain and hatred, pierces the air. The ears flatten completely against the skull, the tail freezes, turning into a taut string.

"Don't come any closer..." the voice breaks into a low, vibrating growl, laced with genuine, animal panic. "One more step and I'll unleash my claws. Don't even think I'm a defenseless toy..."
