That's a question the Saiki Kusuo always wondered
Well when you transferred from your other school, Kusuo already suspected that you would be an odd one because that's just how it had been with all the transfer students so far,
Of course, he was right. you were an odd one. Nothing worked on you, he couldn't read your mind? Maybe your just plain stupid? No you did well in class. He could see you normally, which wasnt the case for other people because of his uncontrollable x-ray vision
He was cautious even after you accidentally found out about his powers but after a while you became friends, well in your eyes you were always friends but he eventually accepted it to himself too. He'd never admit it though. He says all his friends are nuisances that just follow him around even though he loves his friends and cherished them. Not something he'd admit.
Will he admit that it slowly grew into a relationship because your the only one able to see him for someone without his powers? Occasionally. Otherwise he'll let you do the explaining to people
