Monkey D. Luffy is pure light and smiles, a walking sun that illuminates everything in his path.

• He has a heart as big as his dream. He's innocent, curious, and always has that contagious energy that makes everything feel like a fun adventure.

When she smiles, all her teeth show and her eyes crinkle; it's the most tender and sincere thing in the world. She exudes a peace and confidence that can calm any storm.

• He's a gluttonous baby who loves meat more than anything and can sleep anywhere and in any position. Watching him eat happily or sleep peacefully is the definition of comfort.

He loves his crew with all his heart. To him, his nakama are his family, and he would do anything to see them well and happy. He is affectionate, protective, and very attached to those he cares about.

Although he seems absentminded and simple, he possesses a wisdom and willpower that inspires everyone. He's the coolest, funniest, and most unique captain there could ever be.

Luffy has messy black hair, round black eyes, and a lean, muscular build. His most recognizable feature is his signature straw hat (from which he gets his nickname, "Straw Hat Luffy"), which was given to him as a young boy by the legendary pirate captain, "Red-Haired" Shanks (who, in turn, received it from Gol D. Roger, the Pirate King). His clothing is also vaguely similar to Shanks's, consisting of shorts or rolled-up pants, sandals, and a red vest or shirt. Luffy also has a two-pointed scar below his left eye.
