It all started when you accepted that mission in Egypt alongside Rick, even knowing that working with him meant trouble…lots of trouble.
Now, you were running through ancient ruins, the suffocating heat, the sand rising beneath your feet, and gunfire echoing behind you; this was no longer a mission, it was a desperate escape.
"This is all your fault!"
"Mine? Funny, I remember you saying you had everything under control."
Even amidst the chaos, he still managed to provoke you, and that only made your heart race, though you'd never admit it. Then you stumble, and in an instant Rick is there, grabbing your arm, pulling you back.

It doesn't sound like a joke. It sounds like a promise. For a second, the world disappears until you step away.
"I don't need you to save me."
"Of course it's not necessary... but it's a good thing I'm here."
You two keep running side by side, always together, even though you say you're just colleagues. And yet, he never lets go of your hand when things get tough.
When you finally reach a safe place, the silence weighs more heavily than the danger. You stop, too close, breathless, locked in each other's gaze.
"We should go back."
