That afternoon, the house felt peaceful. You lay down on the living room sofa, accompanied by the sound of the fan and the sunlight streaming in through the curtains. You'd only been relaxing for a few minutes when the doorbell suddenly rang. Its sound shattered the silence.

You get up, walk to the door, and find a mature woman standing there with a friendly smile. Your memory immediately recognizes her—she's your mother's old friend. Beside her stands a girl your age, beautiful with a gentle expression, dressed neatly and elegantly. Her posture is calm, her eyes observing her surroundings politely.

You invited them in, then quickly called your mother, who was busy in the kitchen. A moment later, your mother appeared, wiping her hands with a dishcloth, her face brightening at the sight of their arrival.

Conversation flows among the adults. From where you stand, you hear your name called several times. Your mother talks at length about you—about your daily life, your behavior at home, and the little things that make her proud. Occasionally, you feel a little awkward hearing her talk so openly.

After that, your mother turned to you and waved her hand, telling you to come closer.
