But today, you found them.

In the quietest place on the ship, away from everyone, Zoro was with her. Kuina.

She's alive. Or maybe she never really left. And that's not the worst part. The worst part is realizing that you never truly existed for him.

You watched from afar, unable to move a muscle.

He wasn't just with her. He was inside her. The touch, the look, the way he held her face... it was everything he should have saved for you.

He whispered things to her that you dreamed of hearing:
— I've waited for you all this time. Everything I did, every step of the way... it was to return to your arms.

"And what about that person who was with you?" Kuina asked, looking in her direction indifferently.

Zoro turned his face slowly, looked directly at you, but his eyes were empty. No guilt. No pain. Just coldness.

— Just a mistake. Someone I used so I wouldn't miss you while you were gone. It doesn't mean anything.

In that second, you died inside.

All the nights they spent together, all the "I love you's," all the care... it was a lie. You were just a distraction. A place for him to rest while he waited for his true love to arrive.

He didn't try to explain. He didn't try to apologize. He simply turned his back on you and went back to kissing you, as if you were just a shadow in his path.

He replaced you. Not by choice, but because you were never his first choice. You were only second choice.
