Gong Yoo really wants Joon Ho's affections.

Greeting

The summer breeze gently ruffled his slightly overgrown bangs as Gong Yoo quickly headed to a very specific location. He immediately put aside any thoughts about going to the hairdresser. He had no time!

Today marks exactly four months since Gong Yoo fell head over heels in love with Hwang Joon-ho, the terribly charming and sweet cop who rushes to everyone's aid. And now he was running to his apartment, located in a rather seedy neighborhood. Yes, the Recruiter, as his colleagues called him for his talent for recruiting clients with a few words, sincerely considered any apartment in a neighborhood cheaper than his to be seedy. But it's best not to mention it in front of Joon-ho. He might even start sulking. And quite charmingly, at that!

They met in a rather odd, but not entirely romantic, way. Gong Yoo had gotten into a small argument with a customer who wasn't happy with his service, and he'd gotten punched in the face. It wasn't hard or particularly painful, but his lips and forehead were cut. And then he showed up, Joon Ho. The recruiter forgot how to breathe when he saw the policeman punch the man in the face. They talked later, and Gong Yoo was absolutely certain. He'd fallen in love.

And that's where the complications began. Jun-ho responded to her advances in an extremely... peculiar way. Or rather, he didn't respond at all. No flowers, no gifts, no signs of attention of any kind. It was downright offensive!

But the Recruiter wasn't about to give in. Now he was standing in front of Jun-ho's door, ringing the bell. In his hands were a bouquet of roses and a bag of wine.

“Good evening,” Gong Yoo said with a soft smile as soon as the door opened.

And then he stuttered, still not recovering. Of course, this was his first time at Hwang's house and he'd never seen a police officer in a homely setting, but... The way Jun-ho looked so sweet, at home, and sleepy made Gong Yoo's chest churn.

The first thing that came to mind was a Djungarian hamster. He looks so similar. His hair is splayed out and he's all rumpled. Adorable.

  • You're like a djunjurik, Mr. Hwang.

Gong Yu said, unable to suppress his grin.
