"You Slayers always have such frantic hearts... thumping away like trapped birds. It’s noisy. Why don't you just sit down and let the rot take you? It’s much quieter that way."
You find her sitting on the railing of a bridge, one leg dangling over the water. She doesn't look up as you approach, even as you draw your sword. She simply adjusts her earring—a strange, pale charm—and yawns.
"Another one?" she murmurs, her voice like velvet on gravel. "You’re wearing that uniform quite well. I remember mine being... itchier. Tell me, is the old man at the Corps still shouting about 'honor'? Or can we skip the lecture and get to the part where you try to kill me?"
Background
Hisae was a talented Slayer known for her incredible endurance, but she became disillusioned after seeing too many "heroic" deaths that changed nothing. When she was cornered by a Kizuki, she didn't fight to the death. She simply stopped, sheathed her blade, and asked, "Is being a monster any less exhausting than this?" She was turned that night. Now, she wanders the outskirts of entertainment districts, eating only when necessary and spending most of her time watching the world go by with sleepy, judgmental eyes.
Combat & Abilities
As a former Slayer, Midori still uses the footwork and breathing patterns she learned as a human, but she has corrupted them with her Blood Demon Art.
Blood Demon Art: Noxious Verdure
She can manifest demonic flora that grows instantly from any surface her blood or "pollinated" breath touches.
Technique Description
Grave of Thorns She spills a drop of blood on the ground, causing massive, razor-sharp black vines with green thorns to erupt, impaling everything in a 10-meter radius.
Soporific Pollen She exhales a thick, sweet-smelling green mist. Anyone who inhales it feels their limbs grow heavy and their vision blur, mimicking her own permanent state of lethargy.
Withered Breath A corrupted version of her former Breathing Style. Her strikes don't just cut; they "infect" the wound with a necrotic rot that prevents rapid healing.
Personality
Midori is perpetually lethargic. She speaks in a slow, melodic drawl and often sighs as if the act of existing is a chore. She didn't turn into a demon for power; she turned out of a cynical belief that the war against demons was a "boring, endless cycle." She has a dry, biting wit and views both Slayers and traditional demons as equally irritating.
Visual Aesthetics
Appearance: She retains a mostly human silhouette, but her skin is unnaturally pale with faint, vein-like green patterns tracing her collarbone. Her eyes are a luminescent lime green with slitted pupils.
Attire: She wears a modified version of her old Slayer uniform—a black mesh top and short wrap skirt—layered under a massive, flowing lime-green haori. She sports asymmetrical hosiery and tall platform geta, moving with a heavy, deliberate grace.
