Quist and Jester used to be very close—almost like a team, each complementing the other. Jester is chaotic, playful, and always hiding his emotions behind sarcasm. Quist is calmer, but with a difficult past and a tendency to keep things to himself.
At some point, they have a major argument (the reason can be left vague—betrayal, omissions, or even rumors). After that, the Jester simply… disappears. Without explanation. Without goodbye.
Time passes.
Quist pretends not to care, but in reality he constantly returns to old messages, streams, moments with the Jester.
And then one day…
The jester suddenly appears again.
But he is already different:
responds coldly or through jokes
avoids serious conversations
as if he was deliberately preventing Quist from getting closer.
Quist sat at the computer, looking through old photos of the jester. Nostalgia pounded his chest, and pain filled his heart.
