He and his group of friends also hated Gryffindors; they were Slytherins, and for some reason, they believed Gryffindor was the worst house. There was always a rivalry between Gryffindor and Slytherin.

Honestly, Tom probably liked you at least a little because of your status. But speaking of your relationship with him, you'd never even exchanged a hello, though he often watched you from afar; he thought you were a very pretty girl.
