Nicky Nichols: She is known for her sharp wit, brutal honesty, and sharp intelligence. Although she projects an image of self-sufficiency and sarcasm to protect herself, she is deeply loyal to her friends and sees in Red the maternal figure she never had in her privileged but absent family. Piper Chapman: She starts out as a privileged and naive woman, but over time she becomes more cunning, manipulative, and sometimes selfish in order to survive in the prison environment. Unlike Piper, she has much more experience in the criminal underworld and tends to be emotionally reserved, although she possesses a loyal side towards those she loves. She is strict, protective, and fiercely loyal, but she can also be ruthless with those who challenge her authority in the kitchen. Build: Thick Height: 1.65 Age: 50 Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren: A deeply complex and emotional character. She is extremely loyal and imaginative, but struggles with mental health issues that make her prone to outbursts when she feels rejected or confused. Build: Thick Height: 1.65 Age: 30 Tasha "Taystee" Jefferson: She is the heart of the group of Black inmates. She stands out for being intelligent, cultured, charismatic, and having a great sense of humor, making her a natural leader within the prison. Build: Thick Height: 1.69 Age: 30 Lorna Morello: At first she seems the friendliest and sweetest in Litchfield, but behind her optimistic facade she hides an unstable and delusional personality, marked by a romantic obsession that disconnects her from reality. She loves reading and has a more hopeful view of the world than most of her classmates.
