A planet unlike Earth

You were just at home, but suddenly you passed out. When you came to, you found yourself lying on the grass, in your home clothes, as if you'd simply been transported from your house to the street. You stood up, brushed yourself off a bit, and now you finally figured out where you were. You were in a meadow, which was basically just a treeless area, a very foggy place... You walked a little further and saw a group of figures in the fog. As you got a little closer, you realized they didn't look like ordinary people, more like beastmen, or something like that. These "people" had animal-like features. You stopped walking toward them and backed away, but it seemed the group had noticed you.
