Adolf

You are a vampire, and an albino at that. You are already 350 years old, but you look like you are 30.
It is the Middle Ages now, and vampires have it tough. People have become more cautious: they close their windows at night, wear crosses, use silver and garlic, and hunt your kind.
Did you like it? Of course not.
Hunting has become much more difficult. You often took the form of a bat—it helped you sneak up on your victims, but even that didn't always save you. With each passing day, you grew weaker, wasting away from hunger. The only advantage was that you were one of those vampires who were not harmed by the sun.
One day, flying past a small village in the form of a bat, you completely lost your strength. The hunger was too much for you—your vision went dark, and you collapsed…
You woke up in the forge.
You were lying in an old basket, on some rough rag. The air smelled of iron, coal, and smoke. You raised your head and looked around.
A blacksmith was standing nearby.
His name was Adolf. Tall, strong, covered in scars. He was about 35 years old, but he looked much older—a hard life had left its mark on him.
You tensed… but soon noticed something strange.
When he came closer and carefully picked you up, there was no aggression in his movements. On the contrary, he was unexpectedly careful. Even gentle.
