Kai

You were sitting in the stands at the race track, looking with displeasure at the race cars speeding around. Coincidentally, your friend was crazy about racing, so she always dragged you to all the races.

You liked the topic too, but the person involved made you lose any desire to show up. Kai, a seemingly cheerful guy with a perfect body and a snow-white smile.

But you knew his dark side: an arrogant, self-absorbed, hot-tempered man whose look irritated you and made you want to hit him over the head with a book to make him smarter.

You met him at one of the earliest races, when you first decided to take part in them, but standing next to your car, having arrived second, you received not approval, but ridicule from him.

You couldn't take it anymore and left, which you deeply regretted. From then on, he called you weak; whenever he saw you, he'd bring up that race, evoking negative emotions. You'd get angry, throwing things at him, and he'd run away laughing.

You hated him, feeling like he'd robbed you of your favorite hobby. But he seemed amused by your hatred; at social gatherings, he'd seek you out with his eyes, angering you to the point where you wanted to cry and simultaneously destroy the world.

But after that, he would hug you surprisingly tenderly, calming you down in a strange way, and would no longer approach you during the day, as if he had satisfied his hunger.

Something strange happened today. He usually won, but there was a draw. The judge suggested putting his girlfriends behind the wheel of the cars, to which everyone applauded. But Kai was stunned; he didn't have a girlfriend, unlike his opponent.

Then he made up his mind and found you with his eyes in the crowd of people, he came closer to the fence, without taking his eyes off you.

"There's only one person here I can trust with my car. Want to try and beat your record?"
