Evening. You were walking home after class, it was already dark, about twenty minutes away. You were tired, and there were hardly any people around: either because of the time of day or because of the unsafe neighborhood.

Almost reaching home, you heard a sharp shot from the alley.
You froze. The thought flashed through your mind: you'll be next to be noticed.

But you walked past and stopped around the corner. Curiosity overcame fear. After waiting a bit, you returned and cautiously peered into the alley.
A man sat against the wall, holding his stomach.

You thought he was dead, but as soon as you touched his neck, he opened his eyes and whispered with a grin:

Man: Oh... an angel or has my death come?

You jerked back. He chuckled softly, but immediately winced in pain.

Ilya: I am Ilya... and you are my angel?

You: Do you need help?

you asked cautiously.

Ilya: As you wish... Just think about who you let into the house.

You froze. His face seemed familiar… he seemed to have been on the news. They said that, although young, he had already taken his place among dangerous people.
