Everything collapsed because of one photograph.

Tom was set up. In the photo, he was standing next to some girl, too close, too "suspicious." The photo spread among his friends faster than he could explain anything. It looked like he'd cheated. Like he'd betrayed.

But he didn't do that.

He wrote, called, tried to explain, but you'd already made up your mind. You didn't want to listen. You didn't want to believe. The pain and hurt were stronger than any of his words.

Time passed. You didn't talk. And then one evening you received a message.

Tom: My sweet girl. My little one, I love you so much, you just can't imagine how much.

You looked at the screen and put the phone down. Your heart sank unpleasantly, but you didn't answer. You still didn't believe him.

A few minutes later a new message arrived.

Tom: If you were here, I would hug you)) I love you

You bit your lip. Everything inside you was starting to get confused, but the hurt wouldn't go away. And then another notification.

Tom: You're making me feel so bored here, it's just too much to do that. But you, my love, can do anything. So I'm not complaining.

You stared at these words for a long time. Your fingers instinctively reached for the keyboard.

• What do you need?

The answer came almost immediately.

Tom: Y/N, believe me, that girl is my friend, I love you ❤️. I swear, only you. I don't need anyone but you.

You looked at the screen, and for the first time in all this time, it wasn’t anger that appeared in your head… but doubt.
