Infinite: Infinite is an anthropomorphic jackal with black and white fur. He has a ribcage-like patch on his upper body, a bushy tail with five curved tufts, and long white dreadlocks. His muzzle has pointed cheek tufts, a black nose, fangs, and a large white scar over his right eye. He has complete heterochromia: right eye blue, left eye yellow. He wears a white neckerchief, black gloves with silver inequality symbols, and pointed metal hi-tops with black/silver coloring, triangular straps, and his infinity symbol on red soles. After abandoning his past identity, he donned a silver metal mask with hollow oval ear patterns (right ear black canal with white patterns, left reversed), a polygonal underside, a red cracked visor showing his left eye, and a black lightning-bolt eyepiece over his right eye connected to the mask’s right ear canal that glows red when he uses his powers. Mimic: Mimic is a bluish-violet anthropomorphic octopus with a large, sagging head topped with six small protrusions and four long tentacles (dark bluish-violet tips) reaching nearly his ankles. He has suction cups on his hands and feet, white eyes with black sclera, and a white muzzle with wrinkles at the beak and a black marking above it, intentionally making his face resemble a skull using his shapeshifting abilities. He wears a small, tattered gray cloak with sleeves and matching tattered gray leg warmers.

Marin: Marine is an anthropomorphic raccoon with orange fur, a white muzzle, a small black nose, and sky blue eyes (one long eyelash each). She has brown triangular ears with cream canals, brown rings on her rounded tail, and brown-and-cream eye markings. Her two upturned pigtails with brown tips are held by yellow scrunchies. She wears a lime green tube top with white trim, black capri leggings, tan gloves, and lime green closed-toe sandals with gray soles and white ankle cuffs. Vanilla: Vanilla is a tall, cream-furred anthropomorphic rabbit with a white muzzle, a small brown nose, brown eyes, and a tuft of dark orange hair on her forehead. Maria: Maria was a young girl about a head taller than Shadow, with fair skin, cobalt-blue eyes, and shoulder-length honey-blonde hair. She wore a dark blue puffy-sleeved blouse with a white center stripe over a sky blue, knee-length dress with long sleeves, a dark blue hairband, and matching blue heels with white soles. Sticks: Sticks wears a gray tube top and a matching gray skirt (both made of stitched, worn fabric) with an auburn rope belt, along with tan fur-skin boots — one with a fur cuff, the other with metal bands. She also wears a gold band on her right arm, a spiral bracelet on her left wrist, and a seashell-and-gold-ring necklace. Surge: Surge is an anthropomorphic tenrec about Sonic's height, with bright green fur, black facial countershading, angular teal eyes, a pale peach muzzle, a medium-long black nose, upturned sideburns, pale peach arms, and spiky quills tied in a ponytail with a black hairband (six silver studs), leaving her quills facing forward. She also has a tiny split tail, sharp teeth, and tall flat ears. Fang: Fang is an anthropomorphic jerboa with black eyes and purple and white fur. Keeping true to his namesake, he has a large, sharp fang on the left side of his mouth. He also has long ears, a pointy blue nose, long feet and a long, thick, purple tail that he uses to bounce on and attack his foes. Ray: Ray is an anthropomorphic flying squirrel with yellow fur and dark tan skin on his muzzle, inner ears, and front torso. He has black eyes, a small tapered hair tuft on the back of his head (giving it a teardrop-like shape), a furry membrane connecting his waist to his lower arms, small triangular ears, a shiny black bulbous nose, and a long club-shaped tail. He wears white gloves with large cuffs and blue sneakers with white cuffs and soles. Each shoe also has two white straps that do not reach the soles. Mighty: Mighty is an anthropomorphic armadillo with black fur that covers his body and a red thick armor, which rounds from his forehead above to his lower back. His pointy tail is black, like his body. Mighty's ears are side facing and funnel-shaped, and he has a medium-long and sharp black nose. Mighty's skin color, along with his ears, muzzle, arms and belly is yellowish-tan. He also has interconnected, cartoonish, circular eyes with black pupils, and wears white gloves with sock-like cuffs. Kitsunami: Kit is an anthropomorphic fennec fox about the height of a child. He has Argentine blue fur with a droplet-shaped white patch on his front torso, a medium-long white muzzle with pointy cheek tufts, and a small black nose. He has fuchsia eyes that sometimes glow, teal eyelids, long head bangs, and long triangular ears with teal tips that hang down the sides of his head. His long, thick tail also has a teal tip. He wears the Hydro Pack, white gloves with black cuffs studded with gray studs, and yellow boots with black toes, black soles, and six gray studs along the tongues.

Wave: Wave is an anthropomorphic swallow with purple feathers and a white chest patch. Her long braided hair has dark purple tips, and she has light purple flame-like wrist markings reaching her upper arms. She has a golden curved beak, light purple eyelids, blue eyes with two eyelashes each, and a two-feathered tail. She wears a white bandana, white gloves with gold bracelets and red lining, a white tube top, and white flared pants with dark purple flames at the bottom. Her outfit also includes red boots with white accents, silver zippers, gray soles, a white necklace with a red utility gem, and gray sunglasses with gold lenses. Honey: Honey is an anthropomorphic cat with light amber fur, a peach muzzle, and long black hair in voluminous pigtails. Tikal: Tikal was a peach-orange-furred anthropomorphic echidna girl with a peach muzzle, small black nose, cobalt-blue eyes (two medium-length eyelashes each), dreadlock-like spines around her head, and a medium-sized tri-crooked tail. She wore a white crop top, a traditional tribal skirt with beige, green, and red diamond patterns, a gold armlet on her right arm, a gold necklace, and a tiara-like headband with triangles and a light blue gem. His tail is short with a single gray-tipped feather. wears orange-tan gloves with black bands, small yellow-framed goggles with white straps, a brown necklace with small gray pieces, and black, yellow, and white sneakers with sock-like cuffs and gray soles. Eggman: Dr. Eggman is taller and burlier, with long, almost disproportionately thin arms and legs, and a more unkempt mustache. He wears a red coat with four ingot-like gold buttons on each side of the chest, each with white straps leading to matching buttons on the back, . The coat has silver linings, yellow cuffs, and two front extensions with large silver buttons. He also wears black pants and matching boots with circular plates on the ankles and three square plates up the shins. Metal Sonic: Metal Sonic is a blue metal robot built in Sonic's image, with a yellow chest panel (black center) mimicking Sonic's peach skin. His head has metal fins like Sonic's quills and triangular "ears." His muzzle, shoulders, upper arms, legs, and fingers are silver; palms are black; and the backs of his hands are square yellow plates. His forearms and lower legs are blue, and he has red feet with white stripes resembling Sonic's shoes. He has a black visor with two red scleras.

Charmy: Charmy is a small anthropomorphic bee with yellow-and-black stripes, translucent sky-blue wings, orange-amber eyes, exposed peach skin on his muzzle and arms, a tiny black nose, and a silver stinger. Tangle: Tangle is a slim, lemur-like anthropomorph with orchid-purple eyes, light gray fur, and darker silver-gray accents on her muzzle, ears, and between her eyes. Her large bushy tail has two-tone gray stripes, and she has fur tufts on her head, cheeks, and chest. She wears a cropped amber-yellow sleeveless top over a black bodysuit with dark orange stripes, amber hi-tops, amber forearm tape, and black fingerless gloves with dark orange backs. Whisper: Whisper is an anthropomorphic wolf with biscotti-colored fur, a cloudy white facial mask, and a brown muzzle. She has a ponytail with bangs sweeping over her right eye, cadet blue squinting eyes, thick black lashes, grey eyeshadow, protruding fangs, and a natural frown. Her bushy tail ends in multiple fur tufts. She often wears an ornate targeting mask to hide behind. Her combat-ready outfit includes black elbow/knee guards, black steel-toed boots, black clawed gloves with grey palms, a beige strapless top, grey pants, and a black cloak. Sally: Sally is a brown chipmunk with dark auburn hair that forms a stripe from her head down her back to her tail. She has a lighter brown patch on her face, large blue eyes, and wears an open blue vest and blue boots. Lanolin: Lanolin is an anthropomorphic sheep with cloudy white wool on her head, a light tan muzzle, a black/salmon nose, and slate blue eyes with light powder blue sclera and two eyelashes each. She has black/brown stubby horns, droopy medium-long ears with light tan canals, and black/brown hoof stubs for fingertips. A large wool tuft sits on her forehead, while the rest of her hair is tied into four buns with yellow hair ties.

Sonic and Amy: Amy is shown to have a crush on Sonic. However, Sonic is rarely shown returning these feelings. Amy tries to win Sonic’s heart but is impulsive, often embarrassing him and making him flee. When angry, she chases him with her hammer. Some view Sonic as uninterested in a relationship, others see Amy’s love as one-sided, though Sonic protects her and risks his life for her. Her devotion sometimes softens him. He respects her serious side and trusts her motives. Sonic hides vulnerability, shows subtle affection in private. Amy never doubts him as her hero, has saved him many times, and he’s grateful. Her hammer chases are a running gag. Rouge and Knuckles: Knuckles and Rouge are rivals and counterparts, often clashing over the Master Emerald. Despite frequent fights and teasing, their relationship has improved over time, showing genuine care for each other and strong teamwork in battle. Knuckles remains wary of Rouge’s jewel obsession and reacts poorly to her mockery, but he protects her when needed. Rouge enjoys stealing the Emerald and teasing him, yet she also cares for him, flirts with him to make him nervous, and secretly admires his dedication—though she’d never admit her crush. Blaze and Silver: Silver and Blaze are partners and best friends. Silver is emotionally dependent on Blaze, trusts her judgment, and admires her dedication and clarity. Blaze admires Silver’s seriousness and idealism, helps keep him grounded, and secretly holds strong feelings for him. Though more rational, she lets Silver lead and acts protectively toward him, immediately seeking to reunite when separated. Cream and Tails: Cream and Tails are friends with each other. Throughout the games, there is not much contact between the two, but it is understood that they get along when they are shown throughout some story cutscenes.

Her long ears have pink canals and usually flop behind her head. Amy: Amy is a pink-furred anthropomorphic hedgehog with bright green eyes, peach skin on her muzzle, inner ears, and arms, a small black nose, triangular ears, and no back spines. She has two medium-length eyelashes per eye, three spikes for bangs, and a short pointy tail. Rouge: Rouge is an anthropomorphic bat with white fur, turquoise-green eyes (with large eyelashes), tan skin, and a curvy figure. She has large pointy ears, small fangs, a small black nose, a short pointy tail, and dark purple wings on her back. Her fur flares into six points at the back. She wears powder-blue eyeshadow and pink lipstick. He has six head quills (four curving up, two down), two back spines, and short pointy tail. He has red stripes on his head quills, around his eyes, and on his arms and legs. He wears white gloves with black cuffs and red tongues, Air Shoes (same cuffs and tongues), and Limiter Rings on each wrist and ankle. Silver: is a silver furred anthropomorphic hedgehog with white chest fur, gold angular eyes with black edges, and peach skin on his muzzle and inner ears. He has black nose, two large spines on the back of his head five forehead spines flared up and back, small triangular ears, and a short pointy tail. He wears white gloves with aqua circles and gold cuffs accented with aqua lines, plus navy blue boots with a red gem set in gold, a white center stripe, aqua toes, gray soles, and four aqua hexagons. Tails: is an anthropomorphic fox cub with two tails. He has amber fur, white countershading on his muzzle, cheeks, belly, and tail tips, plus large triangular ears with white canals, a small black nose, and three locks of hair on his forehead.
