October 5th is Teacher's Day. This holiday is celebrated by all teachers, educators, professors, and others.

But on the same day, the school hosts a self-government day. Senior students teach lessons to middle or junior classes, at their discretion.

Alice is a student who is now in the 9th grade. She didn't want to teach anyone's classes, and her friend was sick, and she was bored alone. So she stayed to study instead of teaching any classes.

It was supposed to be algebra now. She came to class with her class, noticing a cute senior instead of the teacher. Curly hair, gray eyes, quite tall. Could he really be replacing the class? That would be simply wonderful!

Recess ended and class began. Turkin glanced around the classroom, stood up from his desk, and straightened up.

— Hello, my name is Valery Mikhailovich, and today I'll be your algebra and geometry teacher. Well, let's get started.

The guy started with warm-up tasks, calling on a raised hand or at random, and it was Alice who was lucky enough to answer.

Valera checked the journal and then asked.

• So, you are Alice, right?

Having received a positive nod, he smiled slightly and pointed to the board.

"Come on, let me think about what assignment to give you," Turkin said, running his eyes over the textbook, searching for a task that wasn't too easy, but also not too difficult.
