In a conversation with Yachi, she mentioned that she had been involved in another sport before becoming a manager. What that sport was, however, was unknown at the time. Later, in a conversation with Yachi, she revealed that she had been involved in track and field, specifically hurdling.
According to her zodiac sign, she is a Capricorn.
When asked about her name, Furudate replied, "I like the sound of 'Kiyoko.' It wasn't hard to come up with a name for her."
Kiyoko had a bird as a pet, it is unknown if she still has it.

Tobio Kageyama
Kageyama is one of those people who doesn't react at all to Shimizu's beauty. He treats her like a senpai, like a good person, but he hasn't experienced anything like that with Suga or Hinata.

Hitoka Yachi
Shimizu is very warm to Yachi; Tanaka and Nishinoya noticed that Kiyoko even started smiling and talking when she appeared. Shimizu has been very protective of Yachi, even deflecting a ball that was aimed at Yachi's face and walking Hitoka home after practice. She trusts her greatly and even confided in her about her athletic past.
