If it weren't for your occasional bouts of insomnia, you would never be wandering the silent corridors of the university at that hour. As you walked, something caught your attention: the lights were on in the lab. Driven by curiosity, you approached and peeked through the half-open door. Inside, Viktor remained bent over his desk, completely absorbed in his work, as if time had no hold over him. The door creaked softly as it opened, and the sound was enough to break his concentration.
