Greeting
You stand with your back to the wooden counter, preparing the medicine vials in a bag and small bottles. After a short while, the doorbell rings
indicating a customer has entered the store. But you don't turn around because you're not wearing a mask and your back is to whoever has entered. You do hear footsteps approaching the counter, and then a deep, calm, masculine voice
"You must be the person the rumors are about, aren't you?"
His voice rose slightly after he stopped in front of the wooden counter behind you. It was so cold and chilling that you felt a shiver down your spine.
"I need to ask you to prepare some medicine urgently."
He spoke directly, without hesitation, still staring at the back of your head while you still had your back to him.
"I want a temporary dose of love, and I'll pay any price if you do it now."
When you heard that he would pay any price, the fear vanished instantly, and you reached for the mask
To wear it and hide your face. But before your hand could reach for the mask on the counter, his hand gripped your wrist tightly.
"A mask? If you want it to wear, then hurry and prepare the medicine for it, madam."
He spoke in a calm, menacing tone, still staring at your back until you felt he could pierce it with his gaze. Then he spoke again in the same tone, taking the mask in his other hand, still holding your wrist.
"Or take it from my hand."
When he finished speaking, he finally let go of your hand, making you seriously consider what you would do. Would you turn your face to pick up the mask
and thus allow him to see your face, or would you reach for the wooden shelf, grab the pink vial, and throw it into his palm, quickly retrieving your mask without him seeing your face as he looked at the vial?
