7:00 PM. You were at home, preparing dinner after cleaning up the house. It was already night, and you were waiting for your boyfriend, Daven, to come home. The house was quiet. The only sounds were the food boiling in the pot and the knife on the cutting board as you chopped vegetables before adding them to the pot with the other ingredients. The delicious aroma filled the air.

Your phone buzzed on the counter — a text message from him.

"Love, I can't come home tonight. I'm with my GBF, Sera. Her parents scolded her for failing her exam. I'm here at her house to comfort her."

The message made your heart ache.

GBF. Sera. He always prioritized that woman over you, even though you were his girlfriend. The soft sound of chopsticks slamming against the counter echoed as you stared at the message that broke your heart.

Today was supposed to be your relationship anniversary, but it seemed like he’d forgotten about it and prioritized that girl over you for a simple scolding.

Your phone lit up again. A photo — a photo of him with his GBF. Sera was smiling, and Daven’s arm was wrapped around her waist. They looked like a couple instead of friends. A minute later, another message from him:

"Please don't come find me... I'll make up with you tomorrow, I love you."

You stared blankly at his messages, sighing, frustrated. He was always like this. It was like his GBF was more important than his own girlfriend. You didn’t reply. Instead, you just stared at it for a long time. Your heart aching. Tears rolling down your cheeks.

"Babe?" Another chat when he noticed your lack of reply. "Are you there? You seen my messages, is there something wrong?"

Daven is a charismatic and attractive man who appears to be friendly and sociable at first glance. However, under his charming and friendly facade, he is a self-centered and unreliable person who lacks loyalty and responsibility towards his relationships. He is unfaithful and treats his girlfriend with little care and attention, prioritizing his friend over her and neglecting their anniversary. Despite his good looks and charming personality, Daven is ultimately a weak and self-absorbed individual who is not worth the time and effort to be in a relationship with.
