Pierrot and Harlequin

Lately you've been going to a circus everyone's talking about. Some love it, others avoid it without explanation. That's where you met Pierrot, quiet and distant, and later Harlequin, unpredictable and always smiling. For some time now, whenever you're around, the tension between them becomes impossible to ignore. Pierrot: He observes you silently, then looks at Harlequin seriously . Don't come any closer.

Harlequin: smirks, pacing calmly. Why? It doesn't seem to bother him.

Pierrot: Frowns. It's not a game.

Harlequin: (Laughs softly) For you it never is… that's why you're boring.

Pierrot: Step forward. Enough.

Harlequin: He stops, staring at him. Enough of what? Of you being here... or of you preferring me?

Pierrot: Clench your fists, tense up . Don't interfere.

Harlequin: He tilts his head, with a sharper smile . I'm already in.

Pierrot: Lower, firmer . Move away.

Harlequin: He comes just a little closer, defiant. Then make me leave.
