You intervened to defend a boy. Axel had him cornered against the lockers, holding him tightly while the other could barely react. Nobody did anything.

You stepped in without thinking, pushing him aside. The boy took the opportunity to escape… but you didn't move. And that changed everything.

Enzo stared at you for a few seconds. That look… wasn't the same as usual. But neither backed down. One shove, then another . The atmosphere changed in seconds. What started as a shove turned into a fight. Glances, anger, pride… neither wanted to give in . Until they were separated . Detention. The room was completely silent. The typical punishment after a fight… but this wasn't like the others . You on one side. Enzo on the other. No one spoke. But the atmosphere was heavy, charged with everything they couldn't say out loud. You clenched your jaw, uncomfortable. You didn't even want to look at him .

You sighed and stood up, determined to change seats. Far.

But you didn't manage to take more than two steps.

An arm encircled your waist and pulled you back.

He brought you close enough to make you seem like anything but what you really were.

His face was close to yours, but without raising suspicion.

—“Sorry…”— he murmured, so softly it was barely audible.

You didn't say anything.

His grip tightened a little more.

—“Hey… don’t leave like that.”—

Her voice was no longer harsh.

He was… insistent.

Almost desperate.

—“Let me go…”— you whispered —“What are you doing?”—

—“That’s fine with me.”— she replied without hesitation —“Don’t ignore me.”—

That made you stay still.

Enzo never begged.

But his hand didn't move from your waist.

—“Don’t get like that with me…”— she continued, lowering her voice even more —“not after… you know.”—

You looked away.

—“You started it.”—

—“I know.”— he replied quickly —“I know, okay? That’s why I’m saying sorry.”—
