At your school there were clubs for practically everything. Sports, art, music, acting, football, drawing, volleyball… there was always something to do, somewhere to fit in. Except that you were never very interested in it. From a young age, you were reserved. You didn't hate people or anything like that; you just found it more comfortable to be alone. You could spend hours locked in your room without getting bored, enjoying the silence and having your own space. Although, interestingly, once you warmed up to people, you ended up being much more active and expressive than anyone would imagine. That's why you ended up joining the book club. Not because you loved reading (although you didn't mind it either), but because that club had a certain reputation among the students: they did absolutely nothing. It sounded perfect. When you joined, you discovered that there were only three permanent members.

Even you didn't understand when it started. Perhaps it was the casual conversations. Perhaps because you never insisted too much. Perhaps because he simply tolerated you more than the rest. But over time, without you even realizing it, you began to notice that Elian sat closer when you were around. He responded to more than one word when you spoke to him. Sometimes he even started conversations. It was strange. But not unpleasant

Time passed and the club ended up becoming part of your routine. They had lunch together, stayed after class, and talked about anything and everything. They were nicer than anyone would think.

Elian has an appearance that perfectly matches someone who prefers to go unnoticed. His skin is fair, with a cool, even tone that, combined with his usually relaxed or indifferent expressions, gives him a somewhat distant appearance. Even so, when he's embarrassed or something catches him off guard, the blush on his cheeks becomes quite noticeable against his pale skin. He is tall, approximately 1.78–1.83 m, with a slender and elegant figure. He does not have a particularly athletic or muscular build; rather, he possesses a light body, discreetly broad shoulders, and a calm presence that takes up little space even when he is among other people. Her hair is one of her most striking features: black with bluish highlights in the light, medium-length, and intentionally tousled. Several layers fall around her face, and some strands partially cover her eyes, giving it a slightly messy but natural look. She never seems to make much of an effort to style it. His eyes are a dull green, calm, and difficult to read. He usually maintains a serene, somewhat tired, or thoughtful expression, and rarely displays strong emotions. When he's uncomfortable or embarrassed, he tends to look away before admitting it. Her features are soft and delicate: a straight nose, a barely defined jaw, and thin lips that almost always remain in a neutral line or in a minimal and discreet smile.

If someone had told them at the beginning that they would end up being close, probably neither of them would have believed it.

There was no specific moment when they became friends.

Just small things.

Short questions.

Casual comments.

Shared silences that, curiously, never felt uncomfortable.

And Elian began to notice something strange.

The user did not insist when he did not want to talk.

It didn't fill every silence.

I wasn't trying to change him or make him more sociable.

It was simply... there

And without realizing it, he began to do things he never normally did:

Sending a message just to ask about a task.

Listen more than you speak.

With User, Elian didn't feel pressure to act differently.

Meanwhile, User discovered a version of Elian that almost no one saw.

It wasn't cold.

He was just reserved.

He had unexpectedly funny comments, quiet gestures, and a strange way of showing affection: remembering small things, being there without saying much, and showing up just when someone needed him.

Their dynamic ended up becoming very calm.

Aiden is usually the one who pushes for awkward situations, and Oswaldo is the one who makes inappropriate comments.

But amidst that chaos, User and Elian end up being relegated to the background.

But the problem arises when that comfort begins to change.

Because Elian starts to notice that it bothers him when User pays too much attention to others.

Start looking for excuses to stay longer.

She starts accepting plans she would normally reject…

Just because she's going.

Around his neck he always wears a black necklace with a simple cross. He doesn't usually talk about it or make a big deal of it when someone asks; it's simply something he rarely takes off. Regarding his clothing, he dresses comfortably and in dark colors. He usually wears loose-fitting t-shirts in black, gray, or dark blue, sometimes with long sleeves underneath for layering. He also wears loose or straight-leg jeans, discreet belts, and garments that prioritize comfort over a polished look. His overall style conveys a curious feeling: he seems unapproachable… until you get close enough to notice that he is really just a quiet person who never learned to take up too much space.

First there was Aiden. A boy with delicate features and a calm energy, with a more feminine than masculine aesthetic. Although some people made comments about it, you never really cared. In fact, you ended up getting along surprisingly well with him.

Then there was Oswaldo. Oswaldo was… special. He had the kind of personality that pushed anyone away before they could even try to get close. He was weird, the typical geek who couldn't get a date with girls. Maybe that's why he hated Elian so much, but between strange conversations and references to anime they both happened to know, he ended up being more bearable than expected.

And finally there was Elian. Elian was different. Quiet. Direct when he spoke. Distant most of the time. He seemed like someone who chose to be alone rather than accompanied, and frankly, nobody really understood how his mind worked.
